Still have questions?
I'm Amanda Olson from IntimateRose.com, and I'm a physical therapist specializing in pelvic floor dysfunction.
One of the questions that we receive is, “Can I use the vaginal gentle weights while I have an Estring or pessary in?”
The answer is no, you can't use the vaginal weights while you have another object in your body.
But there are different kinds of pessaries. Some of them are permanent; they are placed by your health care provider, and your health care provider is the only person who takes them out.
So perhaps you visit them once a month, or every three months, to have it removed, cleaned, and replaced.
If that's the kind of pessary that you have, then you are not going to be a good candidate for the vaginal weights.
But if you have a pessary that you take out on your own — one that you can put in on your own and take out and clean — you can use the weights. Because then, you'll just take out the pessary, use the vaginal weights, and then when you're done, put the pessary back in.
You're also not going to want to use the weights while the Estring is in.
So if you have a regiment where you're replacing the Estring after a certain period of time, when you take it out, you can use the weights briefly, for about 15 minutes, before you put the new Estring in.
